Police Appeal Following Use of Counterfeit £20 Note in Pakefield

Police are reminding businesses and retailers to remain vigilant following an incident in which a counterfeit £20 note was used to purchase items at a Co-op store on London Road, Pakefield.

The incident occurred on Tuesday 1 September between approximately 7.27pm and 7.30pm. Two unknown males entered the store and asked to purchase scratch cards. One of the men was speaking on a mobile phone, while the second male placed a £20 note on the counter before taking the scratch cards and leaving the premises.

It was later discovered that the £20 note used was counterfeit.
